The Cartoon Boom quilt pattern is inspired by the nostalgia of classic comic strips and the simplicity of modern geometric design. Using half-square triangles, traditional piecing, and NO y-seams, this pattern is a great choice for both experienced and newer quilters. Pattern includes 3 size options: Baby (40x40 in.), Throw (60x60 in.), and Jumbo Throw (80x80 in.), and a bonus 2 color variation option.
The hardest skills used in the Cartoon Boom pattern are half-square triangles (2 at a time) and seam nesting (optional, pressing directions included). The pattern assumes users are familiar with traditional piecing and sewing.
To help you plan your project, additional files with labels, fabric organizers, and a design sheet (coloring page) are all included. Due to the number of fabrics involved, this pattern should be printed in color for ease of use.
